The Public Education Team is an outreach program created for and was shaped to build a strong and healthy relationship with our citizens of San Marcos.
San Marcos' Communication Center answers your non-emergency questions and processes the highest emergency calls each and every day.
Our goals are to educate on the proper use of 9-1-1, to let our residents know we are here to bridge the gap between our Emergency Medical Services, the fire department, and the police department to assist them.
9-1-1 is the communication link between our populace and our first responders.
The Public Education Team is a part of that link. We believe it is our duty to educate our residents on the use of 9-1-1 to save lives and help save property.
We want the citizens of San Marcos to feel comfortable dialing 9-1-1. We want them to know that we are here to help them.
Reserve your own PET Event!
If you would like a Public Education Team Event, we will be happy to go to you! We do events and presentations for Elementary children to College aged adults to Senior Citizens; from career days to safety fairs, we are there!
