The City of San Marcos is inviting community members to utilize Community Conversation Toolkits to learn more about the housing needs in San Marcos and strategies to address those needs. Community members can also provide input for consideration by the Housing Task Force. These toolkits are meant to be visual and easy to read documents to spark conversation about housing.
The first toolkit released in June provides an overview of housing needs in San Marcos by defining and identifying our current challenges. A second toolkit is now available and provides an overview of draft strategies created by the Workforce Housing Task Force to help address our housing challenges. The toolkits can be utilized by individuals or as part of a collaborative round-table discussion that will last approximately 15 - 20 minutes. Community Conversations can be hosted by City Staff and/or a Housing Task Force Member.
Visit our sign-up page or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a Community Conversation and staff will bring printed copies of the toolkit.
