Mass gathering public event application

All special event organizers anticipating 5,000 or more attendees are required to submit a special event application for consideration no later than 180 days prior to the event.

All special events are considered on a case-by-case basis. Events with a budget less than $50,000 are at the sole discretion of the City Manager. Events with a budget $50,000 or more seeking grants from the City must go before City Council for approval. Applicants are required to obtain a special event agreement authorized by the City of San Marcos.
