Fall Carnival 2020 Online Contests

Farmer Fred has gone virtual! We're hosting two online contests this year; a Children's Costume Contests and a Front Door Decorating Contest. Submit a photo to vgarcia@sanmarcostx.gov of your fall-themed front door or your children dressed to impress in their costumes. You may enter one or both contests. Voting will take place on our Facebook page and one winner for each contest will receive a special prize pack! See complete rules below.

Fall Carnival 2019

Farmer Fred's Harvest Fall Contests will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19. Farmer Fred's Harvest Fall Contests begin on Friday, October 2 at 8:00AM CST and end on Thursday, October 29 at 5:00PM CST.

These contests are sponsored by the City of San Marcos (COSM). By participating in the contests, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by the following rules and guidelines.

PRIZES

One winner will be selected for each contest and each will receive a prize pack. Prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.

HOW TO ENTER

Photos can be submitted by emailing vgarcia@sanmarcostx.gov by Monday, October 19. Participants may choose to submit a photo for both the Children's Costume Contest and the Front Door Decorating Contest or just one of the two contests. Photos will be posted in the Farmer Fred's Fall Children’s Costume Contest album or the Front Door Decorating Contest album on the SMTX Community Services Facebook page on Wednesday, October 21 at 12PM for voting. Voting will take place until Thursday October 29 at 5:00PM CST.

PHOTO RELEASE

By entering this contest, entrants permit the COSM to use the photos for City publications, promotions and any third-party media coverage as the department deems necessary unless the participant expressly files a written objection to the use of photos of themselves and/or their children.

WINNER SELECTION

The winner of the contest will be chosen based on which photo in the original Community Services post has the most likes.

​WINNER NOTIFICATION

The winner will be notified by email on October 30, 2020. COSM is not responsible for any failed message attempts. Any winner notification not responded to or returned as undeliverable may result in prize forfeiture.

COSM is responsible for the collection, submission and processing of entries and the overall administration of the giveaway. For any questions during the giveaway, feel free to email cmarler@sanmarcostx.gov.
