July Volunteer Opportunities:

EVERY Wednesday: Downtown Clean Up

Where: meet at the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce (202 CM Allen at Hutchison)

Time: 8:30am-11:30am

Activity: landscaping, sticker removal, litter cleanup, painting, and beyond!

Special instructions: only need 3-5 volunteers each time

Saturday July 3: Hot Spot

Where: Willow Springs Creek at Veterans Park (320 Mariposa)

Time: 8-10am We’ve moved the time up until October due to the heat.

Activity: picking up litter along Willow Creek

Special Instructions: wear close-toed shoes and pants; walk down the dirt path by O’Reilly’s to the river

Sunday July 4: River Clean Up from 4^th of July

Where: Grant Harris (401E Hopkins- big stage by the river)

Time: 6-7pm

Activity: picking up litter along the river from 4^th of July tourist

Special instructions: We’ll be walking the river (splitting into two groups)

Saturday July 17: Schulle Canyon N.A. Restoration

Where: 207 Joshua Dr

Time: 8am-10am

Activity: invasive removal, erosion control, litter removal

Special instructions: wear close toed shoes, bring water; we’ll provide tools/supplies

Saturday July 17: Downtown Clean Up

Where: meet at San Marcos Chamber of Commerce (202 CM Allen at Hutchison)

Time: 9am-12pm

Activity: Painting railing and litter cleanup

Special instructions: park at San Marcos Plaza Park (between Chamber and TXST River House); walk to N LBJ
