All for fun and fun for all! Youth ages 3-14 are invited to join us for this 4 week inclusive recreation program for kids of ALL abilities on Mondays from 5:00 - 6:30 PM at Dunbar Recreation Center. Texas State University Therapeutic Recreation graduate students are excited to meet you and provide fun activities to promote positive social interactions and encourage building new friendships!

This is NOT a drop off program. Parents/guardians/caretakers must stay for the full duration of the program and are responsible for behavior management throughout the activities.

Spring Lake Outdoor Education Program (SLOEP)

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation and Texas State University's Department of Health and Human Performance present this unique afterschool program for students who attend Miller Middle school. The program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:10-5:45 this spring semester beginning Tuesday, February 7 and ending Thursday, March 9. The program will not meet February 28 or March 2. Miller students will be led by Texas State University's Recreation Administration students in various Outdoor Education activities. Students will be met at the school by Youth Services staff for check in, then will be bussed to the Spring Lake Meadows Center to participate in outdoor recreation. At the conclusion of SLOEP at 5:45 pm students have the option to ride the bus home or be picked up from the Spring Lake Meadows Center.

Miller registration is full for this semester.

Tales on the Trails 

The Parks and Recreation Department, Youth Services Division presents Tales on the Trails! 

Tales on the Trails will be set up along the Virginia Witte Way Trail, a 1/2-mile accessible trail located at Schulle Canyon Natural Area (100 Ridgewood). New tales for you follow along with on this self-guided tour will be available during the first week of the following months: March, June, September and December. 

Please show respect when enjoying our programs and beautiful natural areas by not removing or destroying items along the trail system. Thanks for helping make this program successful for our whole community!

San Marcos Homeschoolers COOP

The San Marcos Homeschool program meets at the San Marcos Activity Center on Fridays from 12-2pm in the gym for PE class, and on one Wednesday per month from 12-2pm for Enrichment class. 

If you are looking to get involved with the homeschool COOP in San Marcos, please visit the organizations Facebook page: 'San Marcos Homeschool COOP' and request to join. The COOP is run by a board of administrators and the Facebook page will provide information on group meet ups, upcoming registrations, parties, and more.
