Environmental Health provides education, enforcement, and resources in response to a wide range of issues which affect the environment, health, safety, and general well-being of our community.
Compliance
We promote public health and safety by permitting and inspecting a variety of food establishments and on-site sewage facilities (OSSF) to ensure compliance with State and Local Health Codes. In addition, we investigate different types of public health nuisances/issues within the City of San Marcos jurisdiction.
Reporting issues to the City
Service requests can range from potholes, food safety, code compliance, and environmental health concerns they will be routed directly to the appropriate department for action.
