File a Report
File a Report In-Person or by Phone
If your incident is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
If your incident is not on the list of incidents that may be reported online, please call our non-emergency line at 512-753-2108 and request to file your report either in person or via telephone.
File a Report Online
Citizens Online Police Reporting System (COPRS) is a web-based reporting service that allows the public to report certain types of crimes online. All reports filed online will be reviewed in the order they are received. Response time to online reports can take as long as two weeks. Online reports are not monitored 24/7, and the public is urged to call 9-1-1 for emergencies. File an online Police Report.
The following types of incidents MAY be reported online at this time:
- Supplements- Additional information to an existing case
- Burglary from Motor Vehicles
- Damaged Property
- Damaged Property- Vehicle (does not include damage from hit and run or vehicle accidents)
- Harassment
- Lost Property
- Theft
- Theft of Service
The following can NOT be reported online:
- Lost or Stolen firearms, prescriptions, or license plates
- Burglary of Habitation
- Catalytic Converter Theft
- Credit / Debit Card Abuse
If you need to file a catalytic converter theft report, please call the non-emergency police number at 512-753-2108 instead of filing a report online.
Evidence
When filing the online report, "evidence" means blood splatter, weapons, or identifiable items left behind by a suspect. Photos that pertain to your incident are not evidence, but you can submit those at a later time in the online report.
