Several San Marcos Fire Department personnel go to local schools during 'Reading Mania' week to read to elementary grade school children. The City of San Marcos has partnered with the San Marcos Consolidated School district to connect city employees with students from area schools. The San Marcos Fire Department visited students to share tips on fire safety through interactive exercises and demonstrations.
