Firecracker Evening 5K
This event is held annually at Five Mile Dam Soccer Complex in conjunction with SummerFest SMTX.
Adult Softball
Slow pitch softball leagues are offered during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. You register online as a team; free agents/individuals can email Fernando for more information on how to find a team to play on. Divisions offered include Men’s C, D, and E, Coed Division 1 (competitive), 2 (advanced), and 3 (beginner/recreational), and Church. Slow pitch softball is open to participants 16 and older. Games are played Monday through Thursday, for a 4-week doubleheader season and double elimination tournament (10 games total). Winning teams receive a set of Championship T-Shirts and a Team Trophy. Adult Volleyball
Adult volleyball leagues are offered during the spring, summer and winter seasons. You register online as a team; free agents/individuals can e-mail Fernando for more information on how to find a team to play on. This is a Coed league and is open to participants 16 and older. Games are played Monday through Thursday (game days vary), for a 6-week regular season and double elimination tournament (8 games total). Adult Flag Football
Adult Flag Football leagues are offered during the spring and fall seasons and you sign up as a team online. Free agents/individuals can email Fernando for more information on how to find a team to play on. Divisions include Men’s and Coed and participants must be at least 16 to play. Games are played Monday through Thursday, for a 6-week regular season and double elimination tournament (8 games total). Winning teams receive a set of Championship T-Shirts and a Team Trophy. Youth Baseball & Softball
San Marcos Youth Baseball Softball Association (SMYBSA) offers youth baseball and softball during the spring season. Baseball is played at Ramon Lucio Park and softball is played at the Gary Sports Complex. For more information and to register visit the SMYBSA website.
USA Developmental Softball League
The development softball program is for girls ages 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U. Play will adhere to basic USA Softball rules, with league-wide modifications where appropriate. Girls can learn the fundamentals in this recreational coach-pitch and fast-pitch league. Participants also learn the importance of teamwork, communication, and competition while engaging in fun! Games will be played against teams from the surrounding area. This program is intended as an alternative to select softball. Softballs and scorebooks are provided but no other equipment is provided by the program. Along with season games, teams will have practice sessions during the week based on coach/team availability. Youth Basketball
The boys/girls may be small, but they play with the same passion as the pros! The Junior NBA/WNBA program focuses on introducing and developing the fundamental skills of passing, dribbling and shooting while encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. Snake League Soccer
The purpose of the Snake League is to give youth a healthy recreational experience learning the fundamentals of soccer. Participants learn the importance of teamwork, communication, and competition while engaging in fun! Teams are co-ed and play indoors at the Activity Center. Velcro T-Ball
Come and learn the fundamentals of baseball/softball in our introductory program for children ages 3-4. Games are played indoors at the Activity Center using Velcro gloves and balls provided by the program. Youth Jr. NFL Flag Football
This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn and develop basic motor skills and the learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who may want to enhance their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football. There are no try-outs-everyone participates!
