About the SMTX 4 All Housing Initiative: The City of San Marcos City Council identified Workforce Housing as one of the City’s five Strategic Initiatives in 2018 and 2019. In order to address this initiative, a Workforce Housing Task Force has been formed to assist the City Council in developing a Strategic Housing Action Plan aimed at addressing housing needs in San Marcos. Final recommendations from the Task Force are expected in the Fall of 2019.
