[ARCHIVED] Virtual Downtown Design Community Workshop on Dec. 9

Virtual Community Workshop Downtown Design

The City of San Marcos Planning and Development Services Department is hosting a Virtual Community Workshop online on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. to seek input on updates to the downtown architectural design guidelines and standards.

The Virtual Workshop will allow the community to learn and provide input on proposed recommendations to the downtown design guidelines and standards. The workshop will be interactive to help participants learn about potential changes to the guidelines and standards that regulate the look and feel of buildings downtown.

“This Virtual Workshop is a follow-up to valuable discussions and input received from the community earlier this year regarding the future vision for building design downtown,” said Senior Planner Andrea Villalobos. “During the Virtual Workshop, we will be presenting potential recommendations to our existing guidelines and standards and are requesting community feedback to help guide us in the right direction for the final product.”

To participate in the Virtual Workshop, residents may RSVP online and instructions will be provided to their email address. A physical take-home workshop toolkit will also be available for participants to pick-up beginning on Monday, Dec. 7. To pick up a toolkit, please email planninginfo@sanmarcostx.gov or call 512.393.8230. Toolkit pick-up will take place in the City Hall Municipal Complex parking lot to provide for social distancing.
