[ARCHIVED] San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter Pets of the Week

NF Pets of the week (21)

Dog of the Week: Fargo (48001446)

Fargo has been at the shelter since June 15, 2021. He has the sweetest face and the softest fur! For being 6 years old, he still has lots of energy and is very playful. If you have another pup at home, staff recommend the two have an interaction at the shelter to see if they would be best pals. This sweet boy is 42 pounds of love and cuddles! He loves getting head scratches, playing with toys, lounging on the couch, and giving his human a lot of unconditional love. This smart boy is house-trained and crate-trained and is very fond of treats. Also, Fargo is very proud of himself for officially being heartworm-free! Come adopt this sweet boy today!

IGTV Pets of the Week (5)Cat of the Week: Slick Rick (48779831)

Slick Rick is ready to steal your heart! He's a 1-year-old long-haired Tabby that loves people but not other cats. He would prefer to be the only child and get all the attention. Something Slick requires in his furever home is a scratching post. It's not a want, it's a need! Slick Rick is a dude who knows what he wants and likes. For example, he's not a fan of being picked up but does enjoy cuddling with his human. This silly boy is very food motivated and loves Squeeze Ups! Come meet him today!

Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets are $10 until further notice and include spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations, a microchip, and 30 days of free pet health insurance. To meet our pets, please visit us in person at the shelter, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Or visit us online at https://bit.ly/2Je9BzL to choose a pet, fill out an online adoption application, and then give us a call at 512.805.2650 or email animaladoptions@sanmarcostx.gov to talk about it.
