UPDATE: On May 10, 2023, the developer of the SMART Terminal declined the City’s request to negotiate additional amendments to the development agreement. In an announcement from the developers, the property has also acquired a new name and will now be known as Axis Logistics Park.

The City of San Marcos is currently processing an annexation and zoning request for land east of FM 110, between Hwy 80 and the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. This land is part of an approved Development Agreement known as SMART Terminal (SMART = San Marcos Air, Rail, & Transportation).
