In appreciation of the 100 Club’s mission of assisting families of first responders killed and critically injured in the line of duty, the South Central Texas McDonald’s Co-op will host its 17th Annual Bells and Whistles Good Friday Fundraiser benefitting 100 Clubs of Central Texas and surrounding communities.

On Friday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a percentage of the sales from all participating McDonald’s restaurants will be donated to local 100 Clubs.  The San Marcos Fire Department will be at the McDonald's at 1105 IH 35 North, near the intersection of Hopkins and IH 35.  Stop by and say, "Hello"!

The Bells and Whistles Good Friday Fundraiser was established in 2001 to financially assist area 100 Clubs and support their mission of providing financial assistance to the families of first responders. It also serves as a way for first responders to interact with the community.

“McDonald’s in South Central Texas is a longtime, proud supporter of local 100 Clubs and greatly appreciates what they do for the families of fallen and critically injured first responders, the true heroes,” said German Ustariz, McDonald’s owner/operator. “The annual Bells and Whistles Fundraiser offers the community an easy way to donate and give back to those who put their lives on the line for our safety.”

“The 100 Club of Central Texas is so grateful to the local McDonald’s for their continued support of our organization. We encourage everyone to join us at your local McDonald’s for lunch on Good Friday to show support for these vital members of our community,” added 100 Club of Central Texas Board Chair Tami Baker.
