The Friends of the Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to strengthening the library through fundraising, volunteer work, and advocacy. New members are always welcome.
Membership applications can be acquired at the information desk at the library.
Every year the Friends of the Library hold two booksales – one in fall and one in the spring.
Each booksale results in $3,000 to $4,000 that the Friends of the Library can use to support the community in important ways. The funds from these book sales are used in a variety of ways – from supporting the library in their book and ebook collections; promoting special events such as the Summer Reading Program and the GED program; purchasing furniture and equipment; and covering special expenses when they arise.
