From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be a series of 12 mini-workshops given by local environmental leaders on topics ranging from rain gardens and green roofs, to the basics of composting and growing mushrooms for ecological remediation.

The local restaurant, Binge Kitchen, will be catering this event. There will be 100 sandwiches given out free of charge with a ticket from gate greeters at 9:00 a.m. and at noon while supplies last. More sandwiches, sides and drinks will be available to purchase throughout the event.

The accompanying Native Plant Sale will offer a great selection of native plants, herbs, and vegetables for your garden.

Admission is free for all ages. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Discovery Center’s Native Plant Program.
