Free Dance Classes

Creative Dance fusing elements of various dance forms such as Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and Modern Dance. These classes will focus on the relationship of body to space and cultivate esteem toward expressing with the body. Some fun elements that will enhance the dancing curriculum are drawing, vocalizing, improvising, and using music as inspiration for “creating a dance,” also known as choreography. Multiple dance classes for ages 5-17. Limited space available. Registration required.
Teen Anime Club

SMTX 4 All Housing Initiative: Community Conversation
June 24, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The City of San Marcos is inviting community members to participate in a community conversation to learn more about the housing needs in San Marcos and provide input for consideration by the Housing Task Force. A Community Conversation Toolkit will be utilized as part of a collaborative round-table discussion that will last approximately 15-20 minutes. A city staff and/or a Housing Task Force member will be in attendance to help guide the conversation. Adult Creative Camp is open to any skill level. Explore your creativity and expression, with encouragement and support. The camp will include visual and written expression, featuring poetry, collage, songwriting, watercolors, and calligraphy. You will end camp with a book of your own creations.
