Small Area Plan Open House

Join us October 24, 2018 between 5:30 and 7:30 at the Price Center (222 W. San Antonio St.) for an open house and presentation of the proposed Small Area Plan Program. There will be two identical presentations at 6:00pm and 7:00pm. Information and details about the program and opportunities to provide your input will be available any time during the event.

CDBG-DR Housing Applications

Applications for participating in the Housing Rehabilitation/Reconstruction Programs will be accepted until Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Community Development Block Grant Office, located at 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos 78666. Applications may be accessed on the www.smtxfloodrecovery.com website or at the Community Development Block Grant Office, located at 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, TX 78666. Permit Center Update

The City of San Marcos has already issued more permits for new single family homes in 2018 than 2017 with 483 permits issued so far this year. The City issued 420 permits in 2017 which represented a significant increase from 2012 when we issued 224 permits for new single family homes.

Historic Resources Survey

The City of San Marcos is conducting a survey in efforts to identify and document historic-age resources (50 years of age and older) and help develop recommendations to help the City make decisions about historic resources for future planning and development initiatives.
