What is RSS?

RSS enables you to get news and other topics of intrest without having to visit the website. The first thing you need to do is to install a news reader that checks RSS feeds. RSS are now available through your browser, Microsoft Outlook 2007 and available for download to your desktop.

How do I access RSS?

There are a number of ways to access RSS feeds.  The majority of newer Internet browsers incorporate the ability to subscribe and manage feeds. However, if you have an older browser that cannot display RSS feeds, you will need to upgrade to a browser that supports them or install a special reader that displays RSS feeds from the Web sites you select.  You can find numerous readers by searching on the Internet for the term "RSS Readers."  

Why use RSS feeds?
RSS brings the information to you and is quickly becoming a popular source to receive information. You can receive many file formats such as pictures, video, pdf's etc...Some newer web browsers offer a functionality already built-in that will detect if the website you are visiting offers RSS.
