To inform and educate the public about the San Marcos River Watershed ecosystem, in an effort to conserve and restore the watershed and its indigenous wildlife.
About the San Marcos Nature Center (SMNC)
We are located at Crook Park on the corner of IH-35 and Riverside Drive, which is also the birding trail head for the San Marcos River. The SMNC has a variety of animal exhibits and a Wildscape of native plants from the San Marcos area. Our Wildscape features a pond, many themed gardens and serves as an outdoor learning center for all ages.
