Mission Statement

Provide well maintained, environmentally sensitive, and cost-effective infrastructure and services that support and enhance the City’s quality of life, public health, mobility, economic growth, and regional collaboration.

The Transportation Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, drainage, traffic signals, pavement markings, signs, vehicles and equipment. We also manage the residential solid waste collection contract, and the drainage utility, as well as respond to emergency situations.

 
Right-Of-Way Permit

All entities desiring to excavate any City pavement must first complete, submit and obtain an approved Right-Of-Way Permit, in addition to any other permitting required and submit applications to the Permit Center.

Street Division:

Jesse Shroyer, Interim Streets Superintendent , 512.393.8025

The Streets and Traffic Division is responsible for all maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, drainage, alleys, street signs and markings. The division also conducts the annual street minor reconstruction program, and supports the neighborhood clean up program.

Traffic Division:

Ning Zou, Traffic Engineering Manager, 512.393.8034

The Traffic Division is responsible for all maintenance and repair of city street signs, pavement markings and traffic signals. The division also conducts traffic surveys and supports the neighborhood clean up program.

Drainage Division:

Drainage Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance and repair of  open drainage channels, storm drains, drainage outlets, storm water Interceptors, and inspection of storm water improvement projects

Fleet Division:

Rick Gee , Fleet Supervisor, 512.393.8033

 

Fleet Services is responsible in keeping the City’s over 500 vehicles and equipment in top operating conditions.
